Registered Nurse (RN), Emergency Department Job Type: Full-Time | 0.9 FTE or 72 hours per pay period Schedule: 6 x 12-hour day shifts, 7 a.m. – 7 p.m., rotating weekends and holidays Sign-On Bonus: $7,500 (available to well-qualified applicants) Job Overview Join UP Health System - Marquette as an ED RN, providing unscheduled outpatient services to patients requiring immediate care. The ED is staffed 24/7/365, offering a variety of tasks, learning opportunities, and a teamwork‑oriented environment. One to two years of inpatient med/surg or critical care experience is preferred. Responsibilities Plan and intervene in patient care, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care. Document patient care provided. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to the care team, physicians, patients, and families. Assist patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation. Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs. Identify learning needs of patients and/or families and provide education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances. Advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of patients. Qualifications Applicants must have a current Michigan RN license and possess an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelor's preferred).
