We are currently seeking a full-time Remediation Project Engineer in our Concord, CA office.  The successful candidates must be willing to work at least three days onsite at the Concord, CA office.  Relocation assistance will be provided, if needed, to meet this request.

What we are looking for

A Remediation Project Engineer , who is driven to support and lead a wide range of projects ranging from site investigations to regulatory compliance tasks, including feasibility studies, remedial design, and/or implementation for both common and emerging (i.e., PFAS) contaminants. The ideal candidate will have extensive technical, regulatory, and client-facing experience in the design, installation, operation, and optimization of soil and groundwater remediation systems. 

Key Responsibilities of this position will include:  

• Technical Responsibilities
  • Implement pilot studies and field testing for various/emerging contaminants.
  • Prepare remediation feasibility studies, remedial action plans, and cost estimates. 
  • Design and oversee the implementation of small to large-scale remedial systems to address soil, groundwater, and vapor contamination for sites regulated under CERCLA, RCRA, and state programs.
  • Oversee O&M of remedial systems, operational and compliance data collection, preventative maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting and repair as required.
  • Evaluate data and develop the required reports including optimization and enhancements as necessary. 
  • Perform environmental inspections at client facilities and provide technical recommendations.

• Marketing and Business Development Responsibilities
• Communicate with clients, regulatory agencies, vendors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the CA Senior Leadership Team
• Support business development and technical proposal efforts.

Minimum Skills and Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental engineering, chemical or related field.
• 5 to 15 years of experience of environmental and engineering experience in soil and groundwater remediation, including system design, construction, and operations.
• California P.E. 
• 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification 
• Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing various remediation approaches and technologies. AutoCAD proficiency is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with system installation, construction oversight, and O&M activities including coordination of subcontractors and field team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Client management and business development experience.

The minimum salary for this position in California is $72,384 annually. Actual compensation will be based on a variety of factors, including education, related work experience, certifications, skills, and current market conditions.

California Salary Range

$80,000—$180,000 USD
