Manager, Manufacturing Operations - 2nd shift

Catalent seeks a Manager of Manufacturing Operations for second-shift leadership at its Kansas City facility. This role oversees cGMP pharmaceutical manufacturing, supervises front-line leaders, and ensures compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards while managing daily production schedules.

Responsibilities

• Lead all second-shift manufacturing activities and ensure schedule adherence and production commitments
• Serve as senior operations decision-maker on shift; resolve equipment, workflow, and utility issues
• Ensure cGMP, OSHA, and environmental compliance; proactively identify and correct unsafe conditions
• Manage, develop, and evaluate front-line Supervisors; build succession depth and leadership capability
• Track and analyze shift performance metrics; lead Lean and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Biology, or related field
• Minimum 7 years pharmaceutical, biotechnology, CDMO, or regulated manufacturing experience
• At least 3 years leading front-line supervisors or comparable people leaders
• Strong working knowledge of cGMP, batch records, deviation systems, and CAPA processes
• Demonstrated capability in Lean manufacturing and data-driven performance management
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and manufacturing ERP or quality systems
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
