Technology Risk ManagerThe Technology, Cybersecurity, and AI, Digital, and Innovation Risk team provides support to our business partners to maintain an agile, well-controlled environment that can rapidly and reliably deliver services across the enterprise. This Technology Risk Manager position will support the U.S. Bank IT Asset Management Program. To achieve this, the Technology Risk Manager must develop a deep understanding of the aligned leader's area and partner to:Consult control owners and leaders about the risk profile of their portfolios of processes and applicationsServe as a trusted risk advisor to aligned Technology leadersIdentify and address risks before they impact objectivesOversee and enable the aligned Technology team's compliance with existing and new requirementsEvaluate and consult on the risks associated with strategic priorities or major programs and projectsProvide actionable information to help prioritize risk-mitigation actions across the portfolio of platforms/applications managed by the leaderDesign and enhance effective control environments for technology products and servicesSimplify the existing control environment using process/control re-engineering and automationRespond to unexpected events and findingsTop 3 SkillsTechnology Risk ManagementIT Asset Management, Software Asset Management, and Configuration ManagementTechnology Governance and Control DesignTop 3 ResponsibilitiesInfluence risk-based outcomes for technology inventory, software governance, and configuration management programsProvide guidance to ensure complete, accurate, and authoritative inventories of technology assets, software, and configuration itemsProvide guidance on sustainable compliance with regulatory requirementsOther role responsibilities includeCollaborate to drive strategic outcomes for the good of the overall teamConsult on strategic initiatives that are defined by the product area owner; ensure risks are appropriately documented, reported, and escalatedProvide advisory and implementation support in the development of management responses to manage associated riskPerform risk assessments to evaluate compliance with existing policies, standards, and procedures and to accurately identify risks and drive remediation processes to ensure that compliance and security gaps are addressedUse data analysis to help aligned Program Leaders develop proactive and anticipatory approaches to risk managementSupport aligned Technology or Business Line team in demonstrating evidence of control effectiveness and identify and escalate control gaps in a timely mannerDeliver targeted and actionable risk reporting across various leadership levelsServe as a functional liaison between the Business Line and second and third lines of defenseBasic QualificationsBachelor's Degree, or equivalent work experienceTypically more than 10 years of applicable experiencePreferred Skills and Experience10+ years of Technology Risk, IT Operations, Asset Management, Configuration Management, Information Security, or Audit experienceAdvanced knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, financial services, and regulatory trends that impact their assigned line of businessAdvanced understanding of the business line's operations, products/services, systems, and associated risks/controlsThorough knowledge of Risk/Compliance/Audit competencies with experience supporting regulatory examinations, audits, and assessments involving inventory management and technology governance controlsStrong management skills in processes, projects and peopleExcellent presentation, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skillsStrong analytical, problem-solving and negotiation skillsProficient computer skills, especially Microsoft Office applicationsApplicable professional certifications (e.g. CRISC, ITIL, CISSP, CGEIT, etc.)Experience evaluating IT Asset Management (ITAM) programsExperience with ServiceNow CMDB, Discovery, Service Mapping, ITAM, and SAM ProExperience evaluating software inventory completeness and technology ownership frameworksExperience assessing controls supporting configuration management and asset lifecycle processesKnowledge of open-source software governance and software supply chain risk management practicesFamiliarity with software licensing, entitlement management, and software rationalization practicesExperience with technology lifecycle management and asset retirement processesRequired Technical KnowledgePrinciples of authoritative technology inventories and technology ownership modelsAsset lifecycle management practices spanning acquisition, deployment, operation, maintenance, and retirementWorking knowledge of ITIL Asset and Configuration Management practicesUnderstanding of hardware asset management and software asset management processesKnowledge of CMDB design concepts, Configuration Item taxonomy, Common Service Data Model (CSDM), asset relationships, reconciliation processes, and discovery capabilitiesKnowledge of software supply chain risks and dependency management
