Position: Clinical Laboratory Phlebotomist

Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (06:00 AM - 02:30 PM)

Start Date: ASAP

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Laboratory Phlebotomist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in acute care settings and be able to work flexible shifts, which may be scheduled any day of the week, including weekends and holidays.

Requirements

California CPT certification (12-month experience in acute care required)
Current BLS certification
Familiarity with various blood collection tubes and techniques, including:

Gray top (Fluoride, Potassium Oxalate)
Green top (Heparin, Ammonia)
Light blue top (coagulation)
Purple top (EDTA)
Red top (plain)
Finger stick, ABG collection

Ability to prioritize patient collections according to request (stat, timed, routine)
Experience with patient positioning, post-venipuncture site care, and aseptic techniques
Experience working with diverse age groups, from neonates to older adults

Dress Code Policy

The facility enforces a strict dress code. All candidates must adhere to the following:

No facial hair
No acrylic nails
No unnatural hair color
All tattoos must be covered
No visible body piercings other than earrings
No facial or nose rings
Earrings must not extend beyond the earlobe and should not be hoop earrings
