About the Role This role oversees day-to-day accounting operations for our branch, ensuring accurate financial management, GAAP compliance, and timely reporting – while providing insights that support performance and growth. Key Responsibilities Record daily financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations. Manage the month-end close process, including journal entries, accruals, and financial reporting. Track job costing and margins in alignment with operational and financial goals. Review and maintain general ledger accuracy. Partner with operational leaders to surface financial insights and identify opportunities for improvement. Assist in budget preparation and monitor performance to budget. Support payroll processing by ensuring accurate time and cost allocations, in collaboration with HR/payroll systems. Coordinate with the Divisional Controller to ensure compliance with company accounting policies, procedures, and deadlines. Assist with external audits, tax filings, and other compliance-related activities. What You Bring Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required) 5+ years of experience as a Controller, Bookkeeper, or in a similar role (required) Home services or construction industry experience (highly preferred) Proficiency in Service Titan and QuickBooks (highly preferred) Advanced MS Excel skills and strong comfort working with financial data Strong communicator with excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy Why Hometown?
