RN Emergency Room

Job Summary: The Registered Nurse (ER) provides skilled nursing care in a fast-paced emergency room setting, managing patient assessments, medication administration, and treatment planning. This role requires strong collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care to patients of all ages in a Level II trauma center. The nurse will float between like units within their skill set and must hold relevant certifications and at least one year of experience. Responsibilities: Perform patient assessments and administer medications in the emergency room. Develop and implement treatment plans in coordination with the healthcare team. Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary team members to ensure quality patient care. Float between like units within the nurse's skill set as required. Document patient care and treatments accurately using the EPIC charting system. Respond to emergency situations and provide critical care interventions. Maintain compliance with hospital policies and procedures in a Level II trauma center environment. Required Skills & Certifications: Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice. Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in emergency care. Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC. Experience with EPIC electronic medical record system. Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and treatment planning skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred Skills & Certifications: Experience working in a Level I or Level II trauma center. Prior experience floating between units in acute care settings. Special Considerations: Floating between like units within skill set is required. Weekend shifts required every other weekend. No on-call duties. Travel nurses with permanent residence within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible. Quick start preferred for pending licenses. Facility is a short-term acute care hospital with 325 staffed beds and sees approximately 170 patients daily in the ER. Scheduling: Four 12-hour night shifts per week. 13‑week assignment length. Block scheduling is not currently accommodated. Return to office (RTO) restrictions are minimal, with preference to keep under 7 days. #J-18808-Ljbffr
