Job Description
Essential JobFunctions Position:Staff Accountant Department:Accounting Primary Responsibilities: (guest interaction, orderingresponsibilities, clean up duties, clerical responsibilities, etc.) Review, close, analyze & reportfinancial statements monthly, quarterly & annually; accuracy &timeliness a must for all companies within our scope. Provide financial information as support tofinancial statements to departments and to parent on an as neededbasis Conduct oneself in line with company corevalues:It starts with the customer;People make the difference; Safety is a way of life; Fact based; Right results,right way Maintain books in line with GAAP Oversee general ledger software vendorrelationship & maintenance with MAS 200 and DataWorks Oversee internal audits & externalaudits as needed Complete all duties as assigned by the CFO & Director ofFinancial Reporting SecondaryResponsibilities: Normal Working Hours: (Shift, days) 815-500 Mon to Fri; and any other time(after hours, weekends, holidays) as needed In order to be successfulin this position, the ideal candidate must meet the followingcriteria in addition to the Mission, Vision and Values of TheGreenbrier. Past Work Experience Requirements: (Type of work, number of yearsrequired, equivalent experience, etc.) 5-7 years accounting experience 3-5 years supervisory experience Hospitality accounting experiencepreferred Educational Requirements: (Degree/Certification, highestrequired/preferred, field of study) Bachelor's Degree in Accounting orcomparable work experience Communication Skills Requirements: (Verbal: phone, in-person, group;Written: memos, documents) Strong interpersonalskills a must for communicating with staff, department heads, vendors andcustomers Technical Requirements: Oversee general ledger software vendorrelationship & maintenance with MAS 200 & DataWorks Strong knowledge of accounting concepts,practices and procedures Computer
