Corporate Accountant

Our client is looking for a detail-oriented, motivated Accountant to join our team. This role will be responsible for key accounting functions, including the monthly close process, financial reporting, account reconciliations, financial analysis, fixed asset accounting, and audit support. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of GAAP, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Manage and perform the monthly financial close process. Prepare and reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly. Analyze financial data and prepare accurate journal entries in accordance with GAAP. Support the preparation of monthly financial statements and related documentation. Maintain fixed asset records for both book and tax purposes, including depreciation calculations. Prepare, review, and file monthly sales tax returns for applicable states. Assist with year-end audit preparation and provide supporting documentation. Partner with senior management on special projects and ad hoc financial analyses. Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and financial reporting requirements. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field required. Strong knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles. Experience with month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. Ability to analyze financial data, identify variances, and resolve discrepancies. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills. Self-motivated and capable of working independently while managing multiple priorities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
