Are you ready to take your culinary and leadership skills to the next level? We’re searching for an Assistant Dietary Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about providing high-quality nutritional services to residents each day.

What You’ll Do

• Support daily food service operations to ensure smooth, efficient meal service

• Lead, supervise, interview, hire, and train dietary staff to build a strong, motivated team

• Assist in developing menus that meet residents’ nutritional needs and personal preferences

• Provide on-the-job training and ongoing education to dietary team members

• Ensure each resident receives meals that meet their nutritional requirements

• Maintain accurate records of personnel, income, expenses, inventory, and supplies

• Implement and maintain an ongoing quality assurance program for the department

• Collaborate with the dietitian to transcribe individual dietary information accurately

• Partner with administration, nursing, medical staff, residents, and families to plan food service programs that align with care goals

• Coordinate food service activities with other departments, including nursing, environmental services, activities, and social services

• Stay familiar with emergency procedures and assist with evacuations when needed

What You Bring

• Experience working in a skilled nursing or medical facility

• ServSafe and sanitation certifications

• Culinary training is highly desirable

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and leadership abilities

Who You’ll Supervise

• Dietary cooks and dietary aides

Your Work Environment

• Exposure to hot cooking areas and cold walk-in freezers

• Working with sharp knives, hot surfaces, and wet floors

• Frequently loud kitchen environment with strong food aromas

• Occasional exposure to dirt, dust, fumes, and smoke

Physical Requirements

• Standing, walking, sitting, climbing stairs, and reaching throughout your shift

• Using hands for handling tools and equipment

• Lifting or moving items up to 50 pounds
