Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,050–$2,160

• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12-hour night shifts
• Shift Hours: 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.

Telemetry RN Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing; compact license must be active and in hand when required
• At least 1 year of professional nursing experience
• At least 6 months of recent neuro nursing experience
• Telemetry nursing experience with strong dysrhythmia recognition and management skills
• Experience caring for patients with neurological and neurosurgical diagnoses
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Recent Epic charting experience
• Ability to assess and care for patients with stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, and post-neurosurgical needs
• Willingness to work every other weekend and provide required holiday coverage
• Two professional references covering at least one year of experience within the last three years

Travel RN Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, individualized nursing care to patients on neuro, neurosurgical, and telemetry units
• Perform comprehensive neurological assessments, including NIH Stroke Scale evaluations
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, recognize dysrhythmias, and initiate appropriate interventions
• Care for patients with stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, craniotomy, and other complex neurological conditions
• Provide pre- and post-operative care for neurosurgical patients
• Manage telemetry, chest tubes, BiPAP/CPAP, and procedural sedation monitoring as indicated
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, rehabilitation professionals, interpretation services, and other members of the care team
• Document assessments, interventions, patient responses, and care plans accurately in Epic
• Support a designated stroke program and comprehensive neuroscience services, including care coordination for time-sensitive interventions
• Float between appropriate units as needed while maintaining high standards of patient safety and clinical care
