Job Description

This is a 2nd shift for a position that will be a 4 week contract. If you perform well there is an opportunity to stay on long term but this would switch to 1st shift. This role supports the manufacturing of chemical products primarily used in the agricultural industry. You will work on a production line to manufacture, package, and prepare products for shipment while following established batch records and standard operating procedures. The position involves hands-on production, material handling, and general warehouse support to ensure safe, efficient, and accurate operations.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture chemical products according to approved batch records and standard operating procedures.
• Operate on the production line to fill and package products in accordance with quality and safety standards.
• Label finished products accurately and palletize them for storage or shipment.
• Perform material handling duties, including moving and staging finished pallets and related materials.
• Organize the warehouse and assist with inventory activities as needed.
• Record production data and other required information throughout the manufacturing process.
• Assist with cleaning and maintaining all areas of the facility and grounds to support a safe and orderly work environment.
• Follow all safety guidelines and procedures while working with production equipment and materials.

Essential Skills

• 2+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas: manufacturing, packaging, or material handling.
• Experience working in a general production or production line environment.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining attention to detail and product quality.
• Capability to follow written batch records and standard operating procedures.
• Comfort working with packaging and packing processes in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong reliability and willingness to support multiple production and warehouse tasks as needed.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in general production, packaging, and production line operations.
• Experience in packing and palletizing products in an industrial environment.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation during production.
• Willingness to assist with facility and grounds cleaning as part of the daily routine.
• Interest in future advancement opportunities, such as line lead roles, as the company continues to grow.

Work Environment

This is a 2nd shift position, working Monday through Thursday from 4:30 p.m. to 3:00 a.m., for an initial project lasting approximately 3–4 weeks. If performance meets expectations and business needs allow, the role may transition into a longer-term opportunity with normal 1st shift hours. The facility is climate controlled during the winter months. In the summer, temperatures can become high; if conditions become unsafe, operations stop and employees are sent home while still being paid for safety reasons. You will work in a production and warehouse environment with standard manufacturing and packaging equipment and should be prepared for active, hands-on work throughout the shift.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pleasantville, IA.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
