• Position: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (Emergency Department RN)
• Location: Boston, Massachusetts 02114
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020–$2,130
• Start Date: November 8, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks, ending February 6, 2027
• Openings: 2
• Schedule: 36 hours per week, with potential 36- or 48-hour schedules
• Shift: 12-hour shifts with rotating days and nights
• Weekend and Holiday Coverage: Every other weekend and holidays
• Healthcare Setting: Level I emergency department and high-acuity environment

Emergency Room RN Job Requirements

• Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Massachusetts
• At least 4 years of professional RN experience
• At least 1 year of travel nursing experience
• At least 1 year of experience in a Level I trauma center or comparable high-acuity setting
• Emergency department nursing experience required
• Ability to work rotating day and night shifts, every other weekend, and holidays
• Professional references, resume, and completed nursing skills documentation required for consideration
• Successful completion of applicable facility credentialing and screening requirements

Emergency Nursing Responsibilities

• Perform rapid assessments, triage, and ongoing evaluation of patients with urgent and emergent conditions
• Prioritize care and respond promptly to changes in patient status
• Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with clinical protocols
• Monitor vital signs, clinical progress, and response to interventions
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, diagnostic teams, and other healthcare professionals
• Support emergency procedures, stabilization, patient education, discharge planning, and transitions of care
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record
• Promote patient safety, compassionate communication, and high-quality emergency nursing care
