Job Full Description IT Support Technician
Location: Grayslake, IL (100% Onsite)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (No weekends or overtime)
Pay: $27.00/hour
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented IT Support Technician to provide hands-on technical support and maintain daily IT operations across our client's organization. This individual will play a key role in ensuring system performance, supporting end users, and maintaining hardware, software, and network functionality in a fast-paced environment.

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented IT Support Technician to provide hands-on technical support and maintain daily IT operations across our client's organization. This individual will play a key role in ensuring system performance, supporting end users, and maintaining hardware, software, and network functionality in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to end users by responding to questions and resolving issues related to hardware, software, and network systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems across desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and operating systems
- Set up new employees with computers, email, and network access
- Maintain workstation performance and ensure systems are running efficiently
- Repair or replace damaged hardware components as needed
- Support and maintain IT operations, including operating systems, email systems (Office 365), and overall infrastructure
- Work closely with the IT Manager to support and maintain the company network
- Assist with ERP system (Epicor or similar) support for designated departments
- Monitor system performance and ensure continuity of services through ongoing maintenance
- Manage software installations, updates, and system configurations
- Purchase, track, and maintain inventory of hardware and software assets
- Provide support across remote locations and users as needed
- Proven experience in IT support, help desk, or systems maintenance
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365 administration
- Familiarity with ERP systems (Epicor preferred)
- Knowledge of operating systems, hardware systems, and network troubleshooting
- Understanding of Active Directory, system monitoring tools, backup and recovery processes
- Exposure to or strong interest in programming, query languages, or virtualization technologies
- Microsoft certifications are a plus
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent organizational and analytical abilities
- Strong communication skills with the ability to support users professionally
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with IT leadership
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working on ladders and under desks when needed
