Medical Temporaries, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced ***Financial Entry Specialist / Medical Payment Posting Specialist***.

• Minimum of 1+ years experience required

Medical Temporaries is looking for an immediate temporary Medical Payment Posting Specialist with experience in EPIC (Financial) PB module. The ideal candidate will have experience accurately posting medical payments, adjustments, credits, and other financial transactions within a healthcare setting.

This is a TEMPORARY position (estimated 3 months) requiring immediate availability Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm, located in Virginia Beach (23462).

Responsibilities:

A Day in the Life of a Financial Entry Specialist:

As a Financial Entry Specialist, you will be responsible for accurate and timely posting of medical payments and financial transactions within healthcare billing systems. This role will support accurate patient account records, financial reporting, reconciliation, and overall revenue cycle operations.

Responsibilities include:

• Accurately post medical payments received from insurance companies and patients.
• Enter payments, adjustments, credits, deposits, invoices, and other financial transactions.
• Utilize EPIC to enter and maintain accurate financial and payment information.
• Review and correct transaction edits, posting exceptions, and system entry rejections.
• Maintain timely and accurate payment posting to support clean financial reporting and patient account records.
• Reconcile posted transactions against billing system reports, financial records, or other supporting documentation.
• Research and resolve payment posting discrepancies and escalate issues when necessary.
• Review payment information and ensure transactions are applied accurately to the appropriate accounts.
• Document financial notes, corrections, and account information clearly and consistently.
• Collaborate with internal departments to obtain missing information and resolve payment or account discrepancies.
• Maintain confidentiality and accuracy when handling patient and financial information.
• Follow established procedures and applicable financial, healthcare, and data privacy standards.
• Perform additional medical billing, payment posting, and business office duties as assigned.

Requirements for the Financial Entry Specialist:

Required: Previous experience with medical payment posting
Required: Previous experience using EPIC (Financial) PB module
Required: Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Required: Excellent organizational skills
Required: Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities
Required: Strong computer and data entry skills
Required: Ability to accurately enter and maintain financial and patient account information
Required: Ability to identify, research, and resolve discrepancies
Required: Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Required: Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Required: Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling patient and financial information
Required: Ability to pass Background Check
Required: Immediate availability for a temporary assignment

Preferred Qualifications for the Financial Entry Specialist:

Preferred: Previous experience in a medical office, physician practice, hospital, or healthcare business office
Preferred: Experience with medical billing and revenue cycle processes
Preferred: Experience posting insurance and patient payments
Preferred: Experience reviewing payment information, adjustments, and account balances
Preferred: Previous experience working with electronic medical record or medical billing systems

• $18/hr-$22/hr (depending on experience level)
