Assistant Service Manager - Overview The Assistant Service Manager oversees the day-to-day management of service operations, including maintenance schedules, team leadership, and client satisfaction. They manage accounts through our Express service arm of the business, ensuring smooth operations and compliance with safety protocols. Great upward mobility for career growth Responsibilities Oversee the execution of comprehensive preventative maintenance programs to ensure optimal equipment performance and longevity. Lead and mentor a team of service technicians, promoting a culture rooted in safety, accountability, and operational efficiency. Define, track, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement in service operations. Manage service accounts, including scheduling, budgeting, and cost control to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery. Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations and standards; OSHA 30 certification preferred. Collaborate cross-functionally with department managers to enhance workflows and drive process improvements. Partner with Project Managers to develop and deliver effective training programs for field and service staff. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent experience required 1-3 years of experience managing accounts in the service or construction industry. Strong leadership and problem-solving skills. Comprehensive knowledge of service operations and preventative maintenance programs. Computer Skills must include Microsoft Office (Excel/Word) Working Conditions The work environment characteristics described here are representative of what an Assistant Service Manager encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Fast-paced working environment. Working environment may be busy and noisy. Manage several projects at one time. Interrupted frequently to meet the needs and request of team members, clients, and subcontractors. Physical Demands This position may require frequent travel by motor vehicle. The role may involve extended hours on construction sites, necessitating physical stamina to move around the premises. The ability to lift and/or move materials and tools is essential, with a maximum weight limit of 50lbs. These tasks may vary and are not required to be performed daily. Effective and professional communication and interaction with supervisors, employees, and others, whether individually or in a team environment, are vital aspects of the role. Adherence to safety protocols and the ability to follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment guidelines, and company policies, are necessary for performing work safely and effectively. Travel Requirements Occasional travel to remote office buildings or job sites as needed.
