Vehicle Operations Logistics Specialist I (Manheim)

Company Cox Automotive – USA. Job family: Vehicle Operations. Position: Vehicle Operations Logistics Specialist. Level: Individual Contributor. Work location: specified Cox location (no remote option). Salary: hourly base $18.17 – $27.21, with possible commission or incentive program. Key Responsibilities Input accurate vehicle information into the AS400 computer using a handheld device for each vehicle received at the auction, including VIN, stock number, dealer ID, make, model, year, mileage, color, options, and more. Affix barcode/stock number sticker on each vehicle received and associate the tracker device to the work order number, installing it on the OBD port or strapping a 2nd‑generation tracker around the steering wheel. Place work order numbers and routing labels on vehicles upon entry, flag “no key” cars, and direct transporters to the proper drop zone. Report transport damage as needed and take a digital image of the vehicle upon receipt. Provide proper sale identification windshield code to the driver going through the registration/check‑in area. Demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the related behaviors, working cooperatively with safety leadership and supporting all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence. Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor, such as assisting on sale days with driving vehicles through auction sales lanes. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (preferred). 1–3 years of auction and/or vehicle registration experience (preferred). Valid driver’s license and safe driving record; ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission. Basic computer skills. Physical requirements: stand, walk, reach, talk, and hear regularly; stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat, and climb frequently; lift 1–15 pounds; visual acuity for close, distance, and color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment. Drug testing: must pass a pre‑employment drug test. No marijuana testing is administered, but possession, use, or influence of illegal drugs during work hours, on company property, or in company vehicles is prohibited.
