We are seeking a full time Clinician in Lagrange, GA.We are hiring a community-based MST (Multisystemic Therapy) Clinicians/Therapists to provide mental health services in the community for area youth and their families following the evidence-based model, throughout the different stages of treatment. Services are provided in program participants' homes and are geared towards serving youth who are in need of intensive community-based intervention, are at risk or have a history of out-of-home placement, and/or have community justice involvement.Job Responsibilities:Carry a caseload as assigned.Actively participate as part of a therapy team, including attending weekly team and individual supervision meetings.Assist families by actively referring them to appropriate services and supports, and with both clinical and concrete services.Make case progress notes as requiredParticipate in all training, supervision, and consultation activities.Preferred Experience:Direct use of pragmatic (i.e., structural, strategic, and functional) family therapiesIndividual therapy with youth and adults using cognitive behavioral techniquesMarital therapy using behaviorally based approaches*Behavioral therapy targeting school behavior and academic performanceImplementation of interventions within or between systems in the youth's natural ecology that affect or influence the behavior of youth (i.e., family, peer, school, and neighborhood)Preferred Knowledge:Family systems theory and applicationSocial-ecological theory and application*Behavioral therapies theory and application*Cognitive-behavioral therapy theory and applicationPragmatic family therapies theory and applicationChild development research and its application in the treatmentSocial skills assessment and intervention*Basic counseling and process skillsPreferred Core Competencies:Ability to engage clientsWillingness and ability to be strengths-focusedAbility to shift to processWillingness to advocate for youth and family, belief in the capacity of people to grow and changeAbility to manage stress and self-careAppreciation, respect, and understanding for teamwork and company systemsAbility to maintain a high level of self-awarenessAbility to be comfortable with cultural differences; to relate without patronizingWillingness to commit to empowering families to solve their own problemsAbility and willingness to work with families in their own homesWillingness to be flexible to work with the families when they are available to meetEducation Preference: Master's in social work (MSW), Mental Health Counseling (MHC), Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT), psychology, counseling, education, or other relevant human service profession preferred; required for site supervisor position. Preferred Qualifications:Experience working with youth and families.Good communication skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate effectively with individuals and families.Salary range for this educational level is commensurate with credentials held and experience.
