Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Stepdown/PCU RN Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year experience required License: Must have an active state license to apply Certifications: BLS and NIH required; ACLS preferred Must-Have: Telemetry experience Emergency response skills Cardiac monitoring experience Ability to interpret dysrhythmias Ability to manage dysrhythmias Telemetry on-unit monitoring experience Rapid Response Team utilization experience Post Cardiac Angiogram care experience Pre/Post Cardiac Cath care experience PICC line management experience IV therapy experience Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in a Stepdown/PCU setting. Candidates will work night shifts from 18:45 to 07:15. The role requires working every other weekend. Candidates should have experience with telemetry and neuro stepdown care. Experience in post cardiac surgery management is essential. Candidates must be proficient in managing various IV therapies. Knowledge of hemodialysis management is a prerequisite. Experience with gastrointestinal care, including feeding tube management, is required. Candidates should have skills in respiratory care, including non-invasive airway management. Experience in orthopedic and plastic surgery care is necessary. The unit is fast-paced with a high patient throughput. Nurses typically manage a patient ratio of 1:4. The role involves floating as needed within the facility. The facility prioritizes adherence to isolation precautions and wound care management. Recommended experience includes working with a diverse patient population. Familiarity with electronic health record systems is preferred. This position is open to local candidates with no radius restrictions. RTO restrictions are ideally no more than 5 days. Candidates must possess a comprehensive skill set for managing complex patient care.
