Counseling Adjunct Instructor Applicant Pool

Job Summary We are accepting applications for the Adjunct Counseling Instructor Applicant Pool. Part‑time faculty positions are open on a fiscal year basis for continuous recruitment, may be assigned to the Valencia or Canyon Country campus, and offer flexible hours. They do not accrue tenure rights. Responsibilities Assume leadership roles within the department and the institution, serving student, department, college, and community needs. Collaborate across disciplines and utilize student support resources. Participate in department, division, college committees and participatory governance activities. Participate in curriculum and program development. Work collegially and collaboratively within the college community. Engage in ongoing professional development. Teaching Create a dynamic learning environment that values instructor‑student interaction. Effectively engage and facilitate authentic learning for students of diverse backgrounds, cultures, and experiences. Adapt teaching pedagogy to individual and class needs and self‑reflect using evidence‑based assessment of student learning. Integrate new technologies into the learning process, including interactive technologies for on‑campus and online courses. Communicate effectively orally and in writing. Qualifications and Minimum Requirements Possession of an unexpired California Community College Instructor Credential in Counseling, or a Master’s degree in counseling, rehabilitation counseling, clinical psychology, counseling psychology, guidance counseling, educational counseling, social work, career development, marriage and family therapy, or marriage, family and child counseling; or a Bachelor’s degree in one of the above listed fields and a license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT); or an equivalent (none accepted). Additional notes:

• A teaching demonstration may be required at the interview stage.
