Travel Dosimetrist

American Traveler is seeking a Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) for a 6-week travel assignment in a hospital Radiation Therapy department, working Monday-Friday day shifts.

Job Details

• Hospital Radiation Therapy department setting,
• Monday-Friday schedule, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM,
• 6-week contract duration,

Job Requirements

• Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) credential required,
• Minimum 1 year of recent Dosimetrist experience required,
• Active Driver's License required for consideration,
• License required if applicable,
• No certifications expiring within the first 30 days of the assignment start date,
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months,

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include dose calculations, treatment planning, simulation supervision, treatment device construction, and patient/machine troubleshooting,
• Assists the Radiation Physicist with calibration of treatment machines and related equipment,
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local travelers are not accepted,
• RTO requests must be less than one week in duration,
• Candidates who have worked at any CHS facility as permanent staff within the past 2 years will not be considered
