Design personalized therapy programs based on evaluation findings, patient goals, and evidence‑based practices. Continuously assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and maintain detailed, accurate documentation in the electronic medical record. Educate patients, families, and caregivers on effective communication strategies, home‑based exercises, and safe swallowing practices, offering supportive counseling as required. Work in conjunction with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate a comprehensive approach to patient care. Maintain a safe treatment environment by adhering to infection control protocols, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards while addressing patients’ comfort needs during therapy sessions. Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities to remain current with best practices in speech language therapy. Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice. Required Qualifications Valid Speech Language Pathologist license in compliance with state regulations. Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC). Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree or higher in Speech Language Pathology. Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech‑Language Pathology. Experience in speech language pathology; new graduates welcome. Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position. Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills. Ability to read, write, and communicate in English. Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills. Physical ability to remain in a stationary position, move about, and move equipment (50‑100lbs), push, pull, and bend. Interpersonal skills to work effectively with a variety of personnel and present a positive attitude and professionalism. Technical/motor skills to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures or using department equipment. Mental requirements to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure; ability to work under close supervision occasionally or without assistance; ability to withstand irregular activity schedules and continuous concentration to detail.
