Inspire young minds and make a meaningful impact working as a General Education Teacher with a focus on 5th and 6th grade students in ELA and History. This exciting contract opportunity runs from August 5, 2026, through June 3, 2027, offering a supportive environment tailored for dynamic educators eager to guide students through critical years of development.
Key Qualifications:
- Current and active California CTC teaching licensure required
- Experience teaching General Education, preferably in upper elementary or middle grades
- Strong knowledge of ELA and History curriculum for 5th and 6th grades
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Enthusiastic, flexible, and organized approach to support diverse learners
Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging ELA and History lessons aligned with state standards
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and encouraging classroom atmosphere
- Assess student progress and adapt instructional methods to address varying needs
- Collaborate with other educators, specialists, and administration to enhance student achievement
- Maintain accurate records, communicate with families, and participate in school meetings and events
This is a full-time, 35 hours per week contract role and comes with attractive compensation, with pay ranging from $40-50 per hour, reflective of experience and qualifications.
