Job Title: Warehouse Associate
Job Description
The Warehouse Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of shipping and receiving goods in a clean and organized distribution center. You will work from Monday to Friday, 10:00am to 7:00pm, focusing on preparing shipments, verifying accuracy, and managing inventory.
Responsibilities
- Prepare shipments for postal or commercial conveyance; determine the most economical and efficient shipping method; select appropriate shipping container; pack items to ensure safe delivery.
- Prepare bills of lading; check items to be shipped against work orders to ascertain that quantities, destination, and routing are correct.
- Receive and unload incoming materials, comparing information on packing slips with purchase orders to verify accuracy of shipment.
- Sort, count, package, label, insure, unpack, and/or log inventory which is shipped or received.
- Utilize scan guns, pallet jacks, tow motors, shrink wrap, box cutters, and other equipment as necessary.
- Experience with forklifts, pallet jacks, RF scanners, and material handling equipment.
- Proficiency in inventory control, shipping and receiving, and order picking.
- Ability to operate sit down and stand up forklifts, reach trucks, and perform data entry.
- Competence in using a computer for inventory management.
- Ability to work independently and maintain positive relationships with team members, management, and customers.
- Experience driving large box trucks is preferred.
- Capable of handling average-weight objects up to 20 lbs, and up to 60 lbs occasionally.
- Experience in unloading, loading, and packaging is beneficial.

Work Environment
Work in a clean, temperature-controlled distribution center where employee safety is a priority. The facility is well-organized, ensuring tasks are clear and orders are shipped on time. Despite recent retirements, the team is experienced and dedicated to investing in new hires for maximum retention.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cleveland, OH.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
