Role Overview ABRO Industries is seeking a motivated, analytical recent college graduate to join our South Bend team as a Product Coordinator focused on formulation, performance, compliance, and market strategy. This role is ideal for someone who wants to build a career managing products end-to-end, understanding how they're formulated, how they perform against the competition, how they meet regulatory and safety requirements, and how they get from quote to cash with our sales teams.

You'll work directly with our automotive, hardware, and household chemical product lines, gaining exposure to the full product lifecycle rather than a single specialty. Product compliance and safety are an important part of the role and part of a broader product coordination mandate.
What You'll Do
Product Research & Market Analysis

• Research and benchmark competitor products — formulation, pricing, performance claims, and packaging — to identify where ABRO products win or lag.
• Support product line reviews and help identify gaps, opportunities, and positioning ideas for new and existing products.
• Track category and market trends that could affect product direction, demand, or competitive standing.

Formulation & Product Performance

• Maintain and organize product formulations, specifications, ingredient information, and performance test data.
• Support performance testing and comparison against competitor products and industry benchmarks.
• Work with R&D and Operations to understand how formulation changes affect cost, performance, and compliance.

Regulatory Compliance & Product Safety

• Manage and track product registrations, certifications, and regulatory requirements across all 50 states and at the federal level.
• Maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and related product safety documentation, and support label/packaging compliance reviews.
• Research regulatory requirements affecting ingredients, labeling, packaging, or distribution, and flag impacts to product plans.

Quote-to-Cash & Sales Support

• Support the sales team with product specifications, technical documents, SDS, and certificates needed to quote and close business.
• Help prepare product information for customer and retailer submissions, bids, and new item setups.
• Serve as a product resource for sales on formulation, performance, and compliance questions that come up during the sales cycle.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with R&D, Quality, Operations, Purchasing, Sales, and Marketing on new product launches and product line changes.
• Assist with audits, customer reviews, and internal projects that touch product data, compliance, or sales support.
• Support process improvements that make product information more accurate, accessible, and audit-ready.

What We're Looking For
Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, chemistry, chemical engineering, environmental science, engineering, or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with technical and market data.
• Excellent organization, attention to detail, and follow-through while managing multiple priorities.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present product information to internal teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Ability to work on-site in South Bend, Indiana, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Preferred

• Internship, coursework, or project experience in product management, marketing, sales support, or a technical or laboratory setting.
• Familiarity with chemical safety, Safety Data Sheets, or regulatory compliance.
• Interest in building a product management career in manufacturing or consumer products.
• Experience with competitive analysis, market research, or customer-facing sales support.
