Role Description This is a full-time, on-site CDL Class A Driver role based in Seattle, WA. The CDL Class A Driver is responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to transport container freight, primarily supporting drayage operations between ports, rail yards, and customer facilities. Day-to-day tasks include performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, ensuring proper load securement, following route plans and schedules, and complying with DOT and company safety regulations. The driver will communicate regularly with dispatch, provide timely status updates, and complete required logs and documentation accurately. The role also involves representing Container Dynamics professionally at customer locations and contributing to reliable, on-time deliveries.
Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record and strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures.
• Experience with container freight, drayage operations, and operating tractors, chassis, and related equipment.
• Ability to perform thorough vehicle inspections, manage basic maintenance checks, and ensure safe load securement.
• Strong time management, route planning, and navigation skills, with the ability to meet schedules and adapt to changing conditions.
• Effective communication skills for working with dispatch, customers, and team members, including accurate completion of trip logs and delivery documentation.
• Reliability and professionalism, with a focus on customer service, safety, and adherence to company policies.
• Ability to work on-site in Seattle, WA, including handling physical demands such as climbing in and out of vehicles and occasionally lifting or moving freight-related equipment.
• Previous experience in transportation or logistics preferred; familiarity with port and rail yard operations is a plus.
