Many of our leaders began in entry-level roles and have grown into positions such as:Account ManagerIrrigation ManagerPlant Health Care (PHC) ManagerOperations ManagerBranch LeadershipIf you're looking for more than just your first job, we'd love to help you build your career.What You'll DoAs a Landscape Health & Water Specialist, you'll serve as the plant health expert for a portfolio of commercial properties.Your responsibilities will include:Conduct landscape and irrigation audits to evaluate overall plant health and landscape appearance.Monitor irrigation systems and adjust watering schedules based on plant needs, weather conditions, and seasonal changes.Identify insects, diseases, nutrient deficiencies, irrigation concerns, and environmental stress affecting trees, shrubs, turf, and ornamental plants.Recommend solutions that improve plant health, irrigation efficiency, and long-term landscape performance.Support the successful establishment of newly installed landscapes through proactive monitoring and care.Communicate recommendations with Account Managers and Repair Technicians to coordinate repairs, enhancements, and customer proposals.Utilize Integrated Pest Management (IPM) principles to proactively manage plant health.Identify opportunities to improve customer properties through enhancements and landscape improvements.What You'll LearnThis role provides exposure to every aspect of commercial landscape management, including:Plant identification and diagnosisIrrigation management and water conservationSoil health and plant establishmentIntegrated Pest Management (IPM)Commercial landscape inspectionsCustomer communication and relationship managementProposal development and problem solvingEvery season brings new challenges and learning opportunities, allowing you to continue growing your horticultural knowledge while making a visible impact on every property you visit.What We're Looking ForWe're looking for someone who is curious, eager to learn, and passionate about creating beautiful landscapes.Qualifications include:Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Horticulture, Plant Science, Landscape Management, Turfgrass Management, or a related field.Internship, seasonal, or hands-on horticulture experience is a plus, but not required.Strong observation and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently.Comfortable learning new technology and software applications.Self-motivated with a strong attention to detail.Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.Why Focal Pointe?At Focal Pointe, we believe our people are our greatest investment.As a nationally recognized Top Workplace and one of the nation's Top 100 landscape companies, we're committed to helping employees learn, grow, and build meaningful careers.You'll work alongside experienced professionals who enjoy teaching and mentoring the next generation of industry leaders.
