Farnsworth Group is seeking a Commissioning CO-OP May through Dec 2027 . This is a great opportunity for an engineer looking to develop their career in the field of commissioning and sustainable consulting. Responsibilities entail the support of multiple commissioning projects, retro-commissioning projects, and energy audits for a wide variety of clients and facility types.

What You'll Do:

• Shadow project professionals in their day-to-day tasks, including performing construction site observations, functional performance testing, and systems troubleshooting.
• Draft pre-functional checklists for projects
• Draft functional testing checklists for specific equipment.
• Perform submittal reviews for commissioned equipment.
• Attend project meetings to stay abreast of project developments and communicate commissioning-related issues to the team.
• Assist in writing reports and project correspondence.
• Perform controls and trend analysis

What You Need:

• Ability to work full-time for the length of the Co-Op (May through Dec 2027)
• Pursuing a BS Degree in Architectural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering. Related technical degrees may be considered
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Revit preferred
• Computer competencies include proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Good grammatical, spelling, and proofreading skills
• Good communication skills in dealing with clients and co-workers
• Organized and professional
• Ability to climb ladders and willingness to be trained in appropriate job safety procedures.
• Recent experience on active construction site(s) is a bonus.
