Medical Assistant - Hematology/Oncology - Torrey Pines

This is a full-time, benefited position with a regular schedule of Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. There are no weekend or holiday shifts. The position is based at Scripps Clinic Torrey Pines but may require occasional travel to other locations as needed.

What you'll do:

• Rooming patients, checking vitals, assisting with procedures
• EKGs
• Maintains a clean, organized, and safe environment
• Collecting patient data in person and by phone
• Stocking and reorganizing supplies
• Ordering supplies
• Check in with patients throughout their appointment to ensure they are comfortable for their chemo treatment
• Scheduling return visits as needed

Required Certification/Registration: Completion of a formal Medical Assistant Program OR hold a Medical Assistant Certification OR have a minimum of two years of experience as a military corpsman BLS certification for the Healthcare Provider by the American Heart Association (AHA)

Preferred Qualifications: 6 months of experience working as Medical Assistant EKG experience Hematology/Oncology experience Assisting with procedures
