Hospitalist OpportunityAnsible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting multiple hospitalists to support the Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center located at 1 Medical Center Dr, Clarksburg, WV 26301. The shift schedule is typically 12-hour shifts, 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am. To address these challenges, we employ intelligent and committed staff who take care of our customers' success as if it is their own.ResponsibilitiesProvide direct inpatient care (95% of time)Admit and manage hospitalized patientsPerform history and physicals, diagnostic evaluations, and treatmentCoordinate discharge planning and follow-upParticipate in code and rapid response teamsPerform procedures (e.g., lumbar puncture, thoracentesis, paracentesis)Attend quality improvement meetingsComplete documentation in VA's EHR (CPRS)Report patient safety incidents within 24 hoursComply with VA policies on privacy, ethics, and infection controlEnsure continuous coverage, including during absencesProvide replacement within 2 hours if a scheduled provider is unavailableMaintain a contingency plan for staffing changesQualificationsBoard Certified in Internal MedicineActive, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth, or the District of ColumbiaActive AHA BLS and ACLSMust be able to pass a Federal background investigation.All candidates must be able to:Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shiftLift up to 50 lbs from floor to waistLift up to 20 lbsCarry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distancePush/pull with 30 lbs of forceAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
