Platform Engineer

Job Title : Release Engineer RHEL Migration / Platform Modernization Location : Alpharetta GA (Hybrid)
Job Description: Bachelor's degree or Master's Degree in Computer science, or a related field, with minimum 12+ Years of relevant experience.
Must Have Experience: 5 to 7 years overall experience in Linux / Platform Engineering environments , with 5+ years of strong hands-on experience in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) administration, engineering, and modernization initiatives including RHEL9 exposure.
Having strong Release Engineer / Platform Engineer to support an enterprise infrastructure modernization initiative focused on migrating environments from RHEL7 to RHEL9
Involves platform modernization, containerization, CI/CD automation, package engineering, and security/vulnerability remediation .
- Must have Strong hands-on experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), especially RHEL9.
- Linux administration and troubleshooting expertise
- Python development/scripting experience
- Groovy scripting for Jenkins DSL
- Experience with Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, Rancher
- Strong Jenkins CI/CD experience
- Experience with Make, CMake, GCC build systems
- Vulnerability remediation and security hardening experience
- Experience with Ansible for large-scale OS configuration
