Careerscape

Our client, a healthcare company based in central Pennsylvania, is seeking a Healthcare Compliance Advisor to support its regional network of outpatient clinics and specialty care centers. This is an advisory role focused on helping leadership interpret regulatory requirements and reduce compliance risk across clinical and administrative operations.

The advisor will review existing policies, assess risk in areas such as billing, privacy, and documentation, and recommend practical corrective actions. The role works closely with the compliance officer, legal counsel, and department managers, and does not carry direct management responsibility for clinical staff.

The position follows a hybrid schedule, with on-site work at the State College office and select clinic locations as needed. Candidates should have hands-on experience in healthcare compliance and be comfortable presenting findings to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Advise leadership on HIPAA, Stark Law, and Anti-Kickback Statute requirements
  • Conduct risk assessments of billing, coding, and documentation practices
  • Review and update compliance policies and procedures
  • Develop and deliver compliance training for clinical and administrative staff
  • Support internal audits and track corrective action plans to completion
  • Investigate reported compliance concerns and document findings
  • Monitor changes in federal and Pennsylvania healthcare regulations and brief stakeholders

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, law, business, or a related field
  • 5 or more years of experience in healthcare compliance or regulatory affairs
  • Working knowledge of HIPAA, CMS regulations, and False Claims Act requirements
  • Experience conducting audits and compliance risk assessments
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to present findings clearly to executives and non-technical staff
  • CHC, CHPC, or similar certification preferred

Benefits

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with employer match
  • Paid time off and paid holidays
  • Hybrid work schedule
  • Professional development and certification reimbursement
  • Life and disability insurance
  • Employee wellness program
