Job Summary
W e are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Production Planner to coordinate equipment maintenance activities and ensure assets are delivered on time and aligned with operational demands.
Job Description
- Plan and coordinate maintenance activities for an assigned location.
- Work closely with the Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Supervisor, and Asset Coordinator to establish and confirm equipment priorities.
- Manage the equipment receiving process, including identifying incoming equipment and assessing it against maintenance requirements.
- Inspect equipment upon arrival and identify maintenance deficiencies or required repairs.
- Create Shop Failure or Deficiency Reports for issues identified during equipment receiving and inspection.
- Open repair work orders and accurately enter information to document equipment scheduled for maintenance or service.
- Organize equipment into appropriate workflow queues based on maintenance priorities and operational requirements, including washing, test pit, and maintenance bays.
- Coordinate with the Stores team to assign and deliver materials, parts, and supplies to workstations.
- Ensure required materials are available so maintenance work can be completed according to established repair priorities.
- Monitor maintenance workflow and help ensure equipment moves efficiently through the repair process.
- Supervise CMMS Clerks when applicable, ensuring accurate and timely system documentation.
- Supervise Yard Crew activities related to equipment washing and movement/driving when applicable.
- Assist the Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Supervisor with asset counting and equipment list management.
- Help maintain accurate equipment records and support asset tracking activities.
- Contribute to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) initiatives and ensure work is performed in accordance with applicable safety requirements.
- Participate in continuous improvement and LEAN initiatives designed to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize maintenance processes.
- Communicate equipment status, priorities, material requirements, and workflow issues to appropriate team members.
- Perform other duties related to production planning, asset management, and maintenance coordination as assigned.
Skills Required
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in asset maintenance, sustaining operations, inventory management, maintenance planning, or a related field.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills.
- Experience with inventory management, materials coordination, or parts distribution.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Comfortable performing basic mathematical calculations related to inventory, equipment, and maintenance activities.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
- Experience with maintenance processes, workflows, or computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is preferred.
Preferred Experience
- Experience or exposure in the following areas is highly desirable:
- Asset maintenance and sustaining operations.
- Inventory management and distribution.
- Maintenance processes and workflows.
- CMMS systems and work-order management.
- Equipment receiving, inspection, and asset tracking.
- Production or maintenance planning within an industrial or field-service environment.
- LEAN or continuous-improvement programs.
Additional Requirements
- Shift t ime: 7PM-7AM 11 days on / 3 days off, every other weekend
Pay Rate
- $25 - $33/hr (Compensation will be offered within this posted range based on experience, skills, and market factors)
