Key Responsibilities\n

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of each client or family.

  • Provide therapeutic services through various modes, including telehealth sessions and in-person visits, ensuring that all interactions comply with HIPAA regulations.

  • Utilize effective therapeutic methodologies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) as appropriate for specific client needs.

  • Document all client interactions and treatment progress using Electronic Health Records (EHR) software, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create holistic treatment strategies that address both mental health and behavioral health needs.

  • Participate in regular supervision and peer consultation sessions to continuously improve service delivery and enhance therapeutic skills.

  • Engage with clients in a culturally competent manner, respecting diverse backgrounds and individual circumstances while addressing their mental health challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As an LMFT at Sunny Valley, you will work with a diverse client population, including children, adolescents, adults, and families from various cultural and ethnic backgrounds. Your role will be essential in supporting clients facing life transitions, trauma, grief, and relationship challenges. You will utilize your skills to create a safe and engaging environment where clients feel understood and empowered to share their experiences.

Qualifications\n

  • A Master’s degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Studies, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • \n
  • A valid and active LMFT license, unrestricted and in good standing.
  • \n
  • Fluency in both Spanish and English, with strong written, oral, and non-verbal communication skills to provide bilingual therapy effectively.
  • \n
  • At least two years of experience in a mental health setting, demonstrating a proven ability to work with children, adults, and families.
  • \n
  • A deep understanding of cultural sensitivities, able to address unique family needs and customs in treatment.
  • \n
  • Competence in using EHR systems, Microsoft Office, and other relevant software tools.
  • \n
  • A valid driver’s license and current car insurance.
  • \n
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including at least two evenings per week and one weekend day.
  • \n
  • Commitment to regular and consistent attendance, arriving on time and prepared for client interactions.

Preferred Experience\n

  • Specialization in areas such as trauma, LGBTQ+ issues, grief and loss, or perinatal mental health.
  • \n
  • Experience working within community health settings or with diverse populations.
  • \n
  • Previous training in evidence-based therapeutic practices, including CBT, TF-CBT, and EMDR.

  • Demonstrated interest and initiative in continuing education opportunities to enhance therapeutic skills.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Sunny Valley offers a competitive salary range of $70,000 to $105,000 annually, accompanied by a sign-on bonus.
