TTUHSC will not pay the$100,000 fee, if applicable. Position Description This position is responsible for ensuring the smooth flow ofoperations in a correctional facility medical clinic. Employeesserve as primary contacts for patients and are responsible forpreparing necessary paperwork before patient visits, receivingpatients, and maintaining records. In addition, this position maybe responsible for coordinating other clinic services, respondingto requests for patient information, and maintaining relatedinformation for the department. Employees in this classificationreceive general supervision. Most work is performed according toestablished procedures; problems of an unusual nature are referredto a supervisor. Work is performed in a medical clinic setting in acorrectional facility and may require a high degree of contact withpatients, facility staff, and other partners. Major/Essential Functions Schedules patients for appointments through the electronicmedical record (EMR) system when needed and enters sick callrequests (SCR) into EMR. Telehealth presenter. Checks access to care through EMR. Patient Throughput Management. Ensures protected health information (PHI) is scanned intoEMR. Assist when needed in processing patients through EMR. Schedules and completes paperwork for offender RecordReviews. Effectively participates in the overall goals of the ManagedCare team. Copies records for patient liaison, attorney general, andothers who are authorized to receive and/or review PHI. Support the goal of the unit by attending meetings. Acts as courier to facilitate the EMR operation. Performs all other health information tasks as necessary. Required Qualifications One (1) year customer service, office, or related experiencerequired. Additional education may substitute for the experiencerequirement. Preferred Qualifications Previous Correctional Experience.
