Sr. Technical Project Manager

Our Senior Technical Project Managers lead agile delivery for CourtAvenue’s most complex, multi-workstream digital transformation programs — composable platform builds, design systems, and phased legacy-site migrations. This role owns the day-to-day execution of a program’s technical and creative workstreams, translating a signed Statement of Work into sprint-level delivery while partnering closely with account leadership on client strategy.

This Sr. Project Manager runs agile ceremonies — sprint planning, daily scrums, backlog refinement, retrospectives — across a co-delivery model that embeds client developers and designers directly on the team, and holds the program to its scope, budget, and gate-review schedule. Comfort with technical concepts (headless/composable CMS, API-driven integrations, data layer and analytics implementation) and confidence managing scope through formal change-request processes are essential.

• Own day-to-day delivery of a multi-workstream digital transformation program — platform/CMS build, design system, content, and phased migration — from mobilization through launch and stabilization

• Run agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily scrums, backlog refinement, retrospectives) across a co-delivery model that embeds client developers and designers directly on the team

• Translate the Statement of Work into a sprint-level backlog, an integrated program timeline, and a RAID log, keeping scope, budget, and schedule aligned to the signed engagement

• Coordinate parallel workstreams spanning platform build, design system and token governance, system integrations, and legacy-site migration waves

• Manage the change-request process end to end — flag scope triggers early, document schedule/budget impact, and drive sign-off before repriced work begins

• Partner with engineering and architecture leads on technical delivery planning — environments, CI/CD, code review cadence, and release management

• Own gate-review readiness at each program milestone, confirming technical proof, data and measurement continuity, and team-readiness criteria before the next phase begins

• Track quality gates including accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA), Core Web Vitals performance, and cross-device QA sign-off ahead of every release

• Facilitate stakeholder workshops — goals and objectives, alignment, governance — to keep the program grounded in agreed priorities and success criteria

• Build and maintain the integrated delivery timeline across CourtAvenue, client stakeholders, and any subcontracted teams

• Identify and escalate risks and blockers — resourcing gaps, dependencies, vendor readiness — before they threaten the delivery schedule

• Collaborate with the Account Management team and report program status, risks, and milestones to the Director of Client Delivery

• Communicate succinctly and credibly across client executives, technical teams, and creative teams, adapting the message to each audience

• 5-7+ years of technical/agile project or program management experience, ideally delivering composable CMS, platform migration, or design system programs

• Deep working knowledge of agile/Scrum methodologies, including sprint planning, backlog management, and co-delivery models with embedded client developers

• Agency or consultancy delivery experience strongly preferred

• Working comfort with technical concepts — headless/composable CMS architecture, API-driven integrations, data layer and analytics implementation, and CI/CD basics

• Experience managing multi-workstream programs with parallel platform, design, content, and migration tracks

• Proven ability to run formal change-request and gate-review processes on fixed-fee or milestone-based engagements

• Skilled at managing scope, budget, and risk across cross-functional and cross-organizational delivery teams

• Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills, written and verbal

• PMP, CSM/PSM, or SAFe certification a plus; bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience

$100,000 - $130,000 a year
