UX/UI Designer
€3,500 - €5,000 per monthWellis
Introduction We’re creating a digital platform that empowers people to better understand, monitor, and improve their health. As a UX/UI Designer at Wellis, you’ll translate complex healthcare information into simple, intuitive, and engaging user experiences — across both web and mobile. About Wellis Wellis is a young, fast‑moving healthtech scale‑up with a clear mission: combine medical expertise, technology, and data to make healthcare smarter, more efficient, and more personal. We started only 2 years ago, but experienced amazing traction and success leading us to the point where we are now creating structures, expanding teams with top talent and setting up our product for growth. We’re focused on lowering the barriers to care, especially for health concerns people don’t always feel comfortable seeking help for. Our treatment portfolio is expanding rapidly, and our ambition is to build long‑term, digital‑first solutions that support people across different stages of their health journey. You’ll join an ambitious, international team where ownership is encouraged, collaboration is key, and impact is visible from day one. We’re opening our new office in Rotterdam this year, where the team will meet 1–2 days per week to brainstorm, build, and grow together. About the Tech Team You’ll work closely with our CTO, our engineers, and our Lead Designer as we continue building the in‑house product teams. Our design foundation, design system, tokens, and reusable components across web and app now lives in‑house, and we’re at the exciting stage of maturing and scaling it. You’ll help evolve the standards for design systems, usability, user experience and research whilst shaping how thousands of users interact with our platform. Over time the team will scale to around 10, and your work will have a lasting impact on product, brand and user trust. About the Role As a UX/UI Designer, you’ll create engaging, intuitive and user‑centered experiences across web and mobile app. From user research and journey mapping to extending our design system in Figma, your work will directly influence how people experience Wellis. You won’t be doing this alone. You’ll work with our Lead Designer splitting and owning work across web and app, giving and receiving feedback, and jointly building out the core standards and structures that the design chapter will run on as it grows. How We Design — with AI, and with our Lead Designer Design at Wellis is a partnership, and AI is part of how we work — not a bolt‑on at the end. You'll work directly with our Lead Designer, who has built the current design foundation (system, tokens, components, and design‑to‑code workflows across web and app). Together you’ll maintain and extend that foundation, document the standards behind it, and shape how the design chapter operates as it scales. There’s real room here to take ownership of areas of the system and make them your own. We also expect AI to be woven through your process. We use modern AI tooling alongside Figma — for research synthesis, ideation, generating and maintaining components, and bridging design to code (e.g. Figma's MCP, Claude / Claude Code, and similar). You don’t need to be an expert in every tool on day one, but you should be genuinely curious about working with AI as a creative collaborator and a force multiplier — and keen to help us define how the chapter uses it well. Responsibilities Design user journeys and product flows for web and mobile. Help evolve and maintain the design system and reusable Figma components. Translate medical and technical concepts into clear, accessible design. Conduct user research, testing, and gather insights for iteration. Work closely with engineers and product teams to bring designs to life. Apply design thinking to improve conversion, engagement, and trust. Ensure accessibility and a mobile‑first approach in all design work. Who You Are 3–5 years of experience in UX/UI design for digital products. Strong Figma skills and experience with D2C or SaaS products. A portfolio showing strong UX rationale and high‑quality visual execution. Experience designing across multiple platforms (web + mobile). Solid understanding of Design Thinking, Lean, and Agile. Curious, proactive, and collaborative. What We Offer Salary range € 3500– € 5000 gross per month (depending on experience) Pension plan Learning budget Monthly personal budget (Alleo) Hybrid working: partly from our new office in central Rotterdam (2 days) 20 days of remote working per year Working from home allowance (2 days a week) A culture of short lines, speed, and continuous improvement — where pragmatism and impact matter. The opportunity to help build a fast‑growing healthtech scale‑up from the inside.
