The role involves loading, transporting and delivering propane to residential and commercial customers using a bobtail truck (3,000 - 5,000 gallon capacity). A Class A or B CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements is required. The position also requires excellent communication skills, a positive attitude in the face of challenges, and the ability to execute on identified solutions; personal safety and the safety of our customers must take the highest priority. Duties/Responsibilities Comply with all city, state, and federal regulations Load, secure, transport, and deliver propane and fuel to residential/commercial locations Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on equipment used for the transportation of hazardous materials Maintain and complete accurate records by documenting truck inspections, hours of service, product transported, and miles driven in compliance with all DOT regulations Maintain the operational efficiency of vehicles by monitoring maintenance needs, conducting minor repairs and performing daily DOT truck inspections to ensure maximum vehicle safety Ensure that the delivery vehicle receives service according to the maintenance schedule; report larger service needs and mechanical issues to supervisor Perform other related duties as assigned Qualifications Proven work experience as a Propane Delivery Driver Advanced knowledge of propane (LP) and refined fuel systems Knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety (FMCSA) Regulations Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite Willingness to learn, grow, and uphold a customer‑focused culture that continually strives to exceed expectations Education, Certification, Licenses Required High school diploma or equivalent required Class A or B CDL license with hazmat and tanker endorsements required Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record LP Delivery certification through the Oklahoma RRC (preferred, or ability to obtain) TWIC card (preferred) Physical, Mental, And Behavioral Requirements Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch and manipulate light to heavy weights of 20 to 100 lbs. for approximately 90% of the shift Ability to regularly climb in and out of a commercial motor vehicle, multiple times per shift Good hand‑eye coordination, arm, hand, and finger dexterity, including visual acuity to operate equipment, including at night Frequent sitting, reaching with hands and arms Must be able to speak and hear Subject to pre‑hire DOT medical certification requirements and drug and/or alcohol testing, as well as a physical abilities test performed by a company provider Must pass pre‑employment screening and background check Position may require working evening hours and weekends as needed Work performed outdoors where exposure to extreme heat/cold, fumes, airborne particles, and gases is common The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work that is expected to be performed.
