BASIC FUNCTION

The Reporting and Business Analyst develops, maintains, and analyzes financial and management reporting that supports informed decision-making across the Bank. The role partners with, Treasury, Finance and Information Technology teams gather and translate business requirements, validate data, enhance reporting processes, and deliver accurate, actionable insights. The Analyst also supports the Treasurer with daily Treasury operations, reporting, liquidity management, risk framework initiatives, and related projects.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Treasury Operations & Cash Management: Support daily Treasury operations, including cash positioning, wire/ACH transfers, investment fundings, intercompany transfers, FX settlements, margin calls, swaps, and daily cash balance reporting across corporate and portfolio accounts.

Liquidity & Cash Forecasting: Support short- and long-term liquidity forecasting by analyzing cash inflows, outflows, funding requirements, and investment needs to help ensure sufficient liquidity and optimize excess cash.

Bank Account Administration & Controls: Manage bank account administration, including account openings and closings, authorized signatories, user permissions, fraud protection services, KYC requirements, and bank account data. Oversee cash reconciliations, investigate complex breaks, and ensure compliance with Treasury policies and controls.

Financial & Management Reporting: Develop, maintain, and analyze financial and management reporting; validate data, identify trends and variances, and translate complex information into actionable insights for senior management and business stakeholders. Manage assumption-based workbooks and supporting documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy of internal reporting.

Business Analysis, Technology & Process Improvement: Partner with Treasury, Finance, IT, and project teams to gather and translate business requirements, support system implementations and testing, maintain data and reporting infrastructure, and identify opportunities to improve automation, efficiency, and reporting capabilities. Drive continued automation and streamlining of processes to improve the efficiency and scalability of the Bank’s risk framework.

Risk, Controls & Data Governance: Maintain desktop procedures, data governance documentation, data controls, and supporting materials to ensure the integrity, completeness, and accuracy of Treasury, risk, and internal reporting processes.

Audit, Regulatory & Governance Support: Support internal and external audits, regulatory examinations, and related governance activities, including preparation of materials, reports, documentation, and responses to information requests.

Projects, Stakeholder Management & Executive Reporting: Support Treasury and broader business initiatives, lead special projects and ad hoc analysis, develop and maintain procedures and documentation, and prepare high-quality reports and presentations for senior management and other stakeholders.

Ensuring all responsibilities are carried out in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and organizational policies, maintaining the highest standards of ethical and legal compliance.

Performs other duties as required.

Education/Certifications:

Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Management Information Systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is required. 

Experience:

Two to four years of experience in accounting, treasury, financial reporting, financial analysis, or a related banking function is preferred.

Preferred Skills:

• Strong proficiency in system applications, such as Microsoft Office (Advanced Excel and PowerPoint), ALCO models, SQL, VBA/Power query and BI Tools such as Tableau/PowerBI/Qlik
• Experience with financial modeling and techniques
• Analytical and data gathering skills
• Ability to translate jargon between business lines and information technology groups
• Excellent problem-solving analytical skills, detail-orientation, independent thinking, and organizational skills
