Director, Data Delivery Management (m/f/d) (Financial Services specialist)

Overview We are seeking a Senior-level Delivery Manager (Director level) to ensure the end-to-end successful delivery of complex programs, projects or multiple workstreams within the Data and Analytics domain. The ideal candidate will possess an extensive background in the financial services sector with a proven reputation for excellence and leadership in delivering data‑driven solutions for major industry players. You will be accountable for overall project delivery, client satisfaction and expectation management, ensuring that all work is on strategy, on time and within budget. You will bring delivery expertise and theoretical knowledge in Data and Analytics, working alongside globally renowned award‑winning development and technology teams. Responsibilities Own end‑to‑end solution delivery for assigned accounts Assure governance of processes in delivery management and production as per the selected delivery model Act as a single point of responsibility for all delivery‑related matters including escalations, upsells and ramp‑downs Ensure sound skills and seniority staffing according to the delivery roadmap Provide technical leadership ensuring future‑proof architecture and high technical quality standards Coordinate between multiple disciplines and stakeholders Establish and manage long‑term partnerships with clients Address client issues and manage engagement risks Coordinate preparation of client proposals and statements of work Support sales activities, participate in bids and provide technical and management expertise to win new business Requirements Extensive experience delivering projects in the Data and Analytics domain with a strong track record in the financial services industry Recognized reputation within the financial services sector for driving successful large‑scale data initiatives Strong understanding of data engineering challenges and proven experience with data platform engineering (batch and streaming, ingestion, storage, processing, management, integration, consumption) Extensive experience gathering and understanding client business requirements to introduce analytical platforms and solutions Familiarity with multiple cloud native data platforms for analytical or operational data management such as Google Cloud Platform, Databricks, Snowflake, Kafka Hands‑on knowledge in tools and techniques for predictive analytics, machine learning, agentic solutions Experience with data visualization tools and technologies Well‑versed in various delivery approaches especially agile Understanding of data‑related security challenges Experience working with clients in the financial services industry is essential and will be considered a key differentiator Fluent German and English speaking skills are essential #J-18808-Ljbffr EPAM Systems
