Pathologist

PathGroup is seeking an AP/CP Board-Certified or Board-Eligible General Surgical Pathologist to join a hospital-based practice in Statesboro, Georgia. Cytopathology training is a plus but not required. Candidates based in the Savannah, Pooler, Hinesville, and Augusta areas are encouraged to apply. This is a full-time, on-site position in Statesboro, GA (Monday-Friday). This role is ideal for a pathologist who values autonomy, enjoys general surgical pathology, and is comfortable working independently with strong remote support from a collegial team. This position is eligible for J-1 and H-1B visa sponsorship, if needed. Key Responsibilities: Sign-out of general surgical pathology cases ± cytology cases. (Cytology is optional based on training and preference) Perform frozen sections and intraoperative consultations (infrequent) Participate in ROSE procedures (no requirement to sign out cytology) Clinical pathology oversight as needed Participate in tumor boards once per month, and interdisciplinary discussions Lead or support laboratory quality and operational initiatives Requirements Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution AP/CP Board Certification or Board Eligibility Eligible for Georgia medical license Strong diagnostic skills and commitment to quality Comfortable practicing independently with regional support available Employer Privacy Policy We endeavor to make this site accessible to any and all users.
