Electrical Commissioning CoordinatorWood is recruiting for an Electrical Commissioning Coordinator to join its Oil & Gas business focusing on the Operations Americas unit. This opportunity will be split in two phases: US based with rotations to Israel. Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood is required.PRIMARY FUNCTIONS: Coordinate and lead electrical commissioning team to a successful completion and injury free activities and tasks. This includes electrical technician and specialty vendor oversight and assignment of systems and tasks.KEY OBJECTIVES OF THE JOB: Keen safety awareness and advocacy; multi-discipline technical team leadership, planning and coordination of work within a simultaneous operations environment, having technical expertise relevant to design and operation of assigned systems and liaising with equipment engineers, equipment vendors, construction personnel and operations team members.ResponsibilitiesCRITICAL SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES: Be responsible for understanding and executing Woods's Safety Policies and Procedures throughout all phases of the project. Supervise the electrical Lock out Tag out program. Personal safety awareness and team safety awareness are necessary.Assist the Commissioning Manager in planning development and reportingDeveloping detailed commissioning and start-up procedures for assigned electrical systemsProvide daily, on-site/in-field leadership, coordination and management of a multi-discipline team of electrical commissioning leads and techniciansInteract with Engineering and Operations team for input and draw from past experience and knowledge when developing proceduresEnsure preparation and approve job cards for Pre-Commissioning/Commissioning activitiesLiaise with Construction/Mechanical Completion groups on a daily basisSupervise the Electrical Commissioning Team in meeting scheduled deadlines and ensuring the technical integrity of work carried outControl of job card allocation and completionAssist Construction with inspection and Punch Lists of installation and vendor packagesAcceptance of Mechanically complete sub-systems packagesManage the completion of walk-downs and Punch Lists of offered system/sub-systemsManage electrical vendor support during the commissioning phase for the assigned systemsVerification of Pre-Commissioning certificationUpdating and forwarding the Punch List per system to the CMS/Database OperatorAddressing Electrical Commissioning issues and resolving schedule conflicts within the Electrical teamEnsure all documentation; tools, consumables and equipment are available to perform work scopeEnsure Technicians work is carried out in a safe and controlled manner in accordance with site procedures and PTW systemCoordination of Certifying Authority witnessing on siteCoordination of functional testing of commissioned systems and engaging the Operations Team when and where neededProvide Operations with technical support throughout start-up, stabilization and performance testingProvide Turnover Coordinator with the required handover documentation, ensuring a smooth handover to Offshore OperationsCommunicate clearly and concisely, both orally and writtenCoordinate activities with other departments and staffEstablish and maintain effective working relationships with direct supervision and other departmentsOther duties as may be assigned or requestedQualificationsQUALIFICATIONS: Candidate should be a motivated self-starter with complex problem solving ability. Excellent communication skills and team oriented personality required to interface with Construction and Operations Teams. A detailed working knowledge of upstream/midstream oil and gas processing facilities is required including:Electrical theory, work methods, tools and testing equipment used in the commissioning of Oil/Gas FacilitiesTelephone, telemetry and SCADA equipmentRegulations pertaining to electrical and electronic installation, maintenance and repairsElectrical Distribution Systems including 480V Motor Control CentersLighting Systems and Distribution PanelsDC and UPS Power SystemsWiring and Troubleshooting abilitiesPLC logic controlsExperience with Turbine Generator Start up and CommissioningExperience with Diesel Engine driven Back up Emergency Generator SetsExperience with 480VAC, medium voltage 4160VAC and above switchgear controlsReport writing and records maintenancePermit to work System & LOTOCandidate must be able to manage leads and technicians in the coordination of workOccupational hazards and standard safety proceduresEducation and Experience: Proven background, typically 15 years minimum in Oil & Gas Completion and Commissioning activities in a Lead Technician or Engineer's role. Proven Supervisory experience in a Commissioning role in Electrical position.
