ANESTHESIOLOGIST
Phoenix, Arizona
Our organization is in search of a Board Certified or Eligible Anesthesiologist to join our full-time clinical team at a prominent healthcare facility within the Valleywise Health Care System. This medical center serves as a community-oriented, university-affiliated teaching institution, recognized as an ACS verified and State designated Level 1 Adult Trauma Center, as well as an ABA verified Burn Center, located in the metropolitan area of Phoenix.
The role encompasses a diverse range of clinical responsibilities, including:
- Labor and Delivery
- Neonatal and general pediatric surgery
- General surgery
- Robotic surgery
- Neurosurgery
- ENT procedures
- Plastic surgery
- Burn care
- Level I trauma management
- Orthopedic surgery
- Podiatric surgery
- Special procedures outside the operating room
Our anesthesiologists have access to TEE equipment for perioperative and critical care patients, managing approximately 11,000 anesthesia cases annually. The position requires being on call 4-5 times each month. Candidates should possess flexibility, outstanding interpersonal skills, and the capability to work with high-acuity adult and pediatric patients. Additionally, the role involves supervising and educating emergency medicine and surgery residents, CRNAs, student nurse anesthetists, and medical students. This teaching component provides an excellent opportunity for our physicians to pursue academic appointments through our university affiliations.
