Program Support Coordinator - WorkAbility IV Program - Part-Time

Program Support Coordinator – WorkAbility IV Program – Part-Time Job No: 558859 | Work Type: Staff | Location: Southern California: Long Beach | Appointment Type: Temporary | Time Basis: Part‑time (0.50 FTE) Job Summary Under the supervision of the Director of the Career Development Center and assisted by the Assistant Director of the WAIV Program, the incumbent supports program data management and documentation for students in the WorkAbility Program. The role documents student contacts and program activities, produces reports, performs online research related to program production, and assists with training and outreach activities. Key Responsibilities Contract Support Services – Meet with the Program Coordinator and the Department of Rehabilitation for ongoing training and supervision. Assist in planning WorkAbility Program meetings, workshops, and events, creating presentation templates, materials, and resources as needed. Admin Support for Employment/Internship Services – Collaborate with BMAC staff regularly regarding administrative paperwork and completion of supporting documentation to ensure timely reporting of program requirements. Document student contacts and outcomes in the program database using established systems, procedures, and resources for analysis of program production and reporting. Provide procedural training and reference materials to student assistants regarding documentation standards and contract compliance requirements. Respond to general program inquiries from students, community members, and campus personnel. Conduct WAIV Program outreach activities to promote awareness of program services and participation requirements. Compensation Hiring Range: $2,183.50 (Step 1) – $2,464 (Step 7) per month, commensurate with candidate’s education, experience, skills, and training. CSU Classification Salary Range for Part‑time, 0.50 FTE: $2,183.50 (Step 1) – $3,181 (Step 20) per month. Benefits Paid Time Off: Up to 24 vacation days per year (based on employee group and/or length of service), 14 paid holidays, and 12 sick days annually with unlimited accrual. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities The ideal candidate has extensive experience working within a multicultural university environment and demonstrates exceptional discretion in handling sensitive matters. The candidate is proficient in managing multiple complex projects, exercising strong counseling and mediation skills, and communicating diplomatically with diverse stakeholders. Proficiency in report writing, data analysis, and Microsoft Office applications is required. Dependability, flexibility, and the ability to meet physical requirements—including lifting medium‑weight objects (10‑20 pounds)—are essential. The candidate must follow all university policies, procedures, and guidelines, including safety, civility, information security, and non‑discrimination policies. Education and Experience Equivalent to five years of administrative support experience required. Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in behavioral sciences, public or business administration, or a related field, and one year of directly related experience preferred.
