Trade Compliance Specialist

Responsibilities for Trade Compliance Specialist include but are not limited to:- Support daily monitoring of cargo security activities across overseas shipping locations.
- Monitor and report on cargo security audit statuses, communications, findings, and results.
- Maintain and update risk assessment systems by incorporating new and existing shipping locations across a global network spanning 50+ countries.
- Prepare and maintain weekly, monthly, and quarterly program status reports and presentations.
- Assist in creating materials related to minimum security criteria requirements.
- Support ongoing program initiatives, including self-assessment creation and updates.
- Assist with risk assessment processes and denied party screening activities.
- Monitor incoming emails and provide troubleshooting, research, and issue resolution support.
- Run reports, analyze data, summarize findings, and track program performance.
- Support meetings by preparing agendas, presentations, notes, action items, and templates.
- Communicate with internal stakeholders and third-party business partners regarding program activities.
- Monitor dashboards, identify trends, prepare analyses, and communicate key insights.
- Serve as backup support for team functions and assist with implementing new processes.
- Participate in special projects and provide cross-functional support as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Ability and willingness to learn new systems and business processes quickly.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including:
- VLOOKUPs
- Pivot Tables
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High level of organization and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- Experience working in a corporate environment.
- Experience with the CTPAT (Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism) program.
- Experience within trade compliance, customs, transportation, or logistics environments.
- Experience with other government compliance programs.
- Experience in Logistics or Loss Prevention.
- Ability to conduct online research and analyze information effectively.
- Some college coursework preferred but not required.
- Location: Remote (Framingham, MA Office)
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Pay Rate: $ 40.14/hour
