Working with leadership, prepare and submit proposals and project estimates.ResponsibilitiesLeadership and DirectionReceive broad guidance from senior-level management relating to overall key objectives, critical issues, new concepts, and policy matters and general parameters for execution. Assist in managing people and processes to ensure effective execution. Review work produced by staff for quality assurance.At the Operational and Company LevelAssist manager in securing repeat business from existing clients and identifying new clients.Coordinate with other internal departments to meet project requirements.Do the WorkParticipate in meetings with prospective clients, proposal preparations, and establishment of budgets and schedules.Maintain close liaison with clients and work with Project Manager to resolve project questions including technical requirements, completion requirements and billing inquiries.Work with the Project Manager to review project changes, pending or anticipated alterations to the contract, additional work requests, and all other factors which may significantly affect staffing requirements or the budget.Supervise the work of survey project personnel as needed to ensure that it meets the highest professional standards.Coordinate with other internal departments to meet project requirements.Work with the Project Manager to: define the scope of multiple, complex projects and develop plans to accomplish land survey projects; monitor progress toward deliverable schedules; and compile project status reports.Review job cost sheets and prepare monthly billings. Ensure assigned projects stay within budget allocation.May serve as primary project point of contact as needed to coordinate surveying and mapping services between Survey Party Chief and the client.Assist in the collection of outstanding monies due from assigned clients.Participate in marketing presentations and attend marketing meetings.Success Metrics and CompetenciesAbility to work both independently and within a team environment.Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization and external partners.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Strong work ethic and commitment to quality.Self-reliance and ability to operate independently with limited direction.Strong marketing/business development skills and mindset.Aspirations to grow professionally and advance within the company.Effective working relationship with internal leaders and peers, as well as external clients.Commitment to becoming a "citizen" of the broader organization, breaking down barriers and silos.Basic understanding of financial reports and metrics.Data analysis and interpretation skills.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required.Associate's or bachelor's degree in Land Surveying or related field preferred, or commensurate relevant experience.Professional Land Surveying registration preferred.Five or more (5+) years of land surveying or related land development experience to include professional project management experience.Knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft OfficeAbility to manage multiple projects and project teams.Familiarity with financial principles.About BowmanAre you ready to build a career that makes a lasting impact?
