Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ICU night shift position requiring 2+ years of critical care experience and active TN or compact licensure.

Details

• Work in a 5-bed ICU (expanding to 10 beds in February) within an acute care hospital
• Trauma Level 3 facility
• Adult and geriatric patient population, no pediatrics
• Patient ratios of 2-3:1
• Common diagnoses include DKA, CVA, CP, post-surgical care, electrolyte imbalances, overdose, and psychiatric/suicidal ideation cases
• Uses ventilators, BiPAPs, drips, and glucometers
• Charting via Medhost EHR
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• No call requirements
• No floating required

Requirements

• Active RN license (TN or compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2+ years of critical care/ICU experience required
• Strong critical thinking skills required
• Must pass Tennessee Abuse Registry check prior to assignment start
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing services to ICU patients including ventilator and drip management
• Collaborate closely with a supportive, family-like care team
• Scrub color is unrestricted, though casual attire is not permitted
• Orientation held bi-weekly on Mondays
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify for travel rate
• Previous permanent staff employment at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months disqualifies candidates
• Candidates may not be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment
