Restaurant Manager – Grand Gardner Hotel Urschel, a 100% employee‑owned company, is seeking an energetic, guest‑focused hospitality professional to join the opening team of the Grand Gardner Hotel as Restaurant Manager. The Grand Gardner Hotel is an Urschel Development property located in Downtown Valparaiso, IN. The Restaurant Manager oversees all front‑of‑house food and beverage operations, including the restaurant, bar, banquet service, and in‑room dining. Responsibilities include: Hiring, training, scheduling, and developing staff while ensuring service and appearance standards. Building strong guest relationships and driving service excellence. Collaborating with Culinary and Catering teams to support operational goals and elevate the guest dining experience. Qualifications: Dynamic, service‑driven hospitality leader with strong communication, organizational, and team‑development skills. Minimum of three years of supervisory experience in restaurant, bar, or hotel food and beverage operations. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, point‑of‑sale systems, and standard restaurant equipment. Ability to manage staff, guest interactions, and high‑volume service environments. Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
