RN - OR Profession: RN Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Variable Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Registered Nurse Licensure Certifications: American Heart Association BLS, American Heart Association ACLS Must-Have: Bachelor's degree from accredited School of Nursing, Associates degree, or Diploma Description:The Registered Nurse works in a collaborative and cooperative relationship with other members of the healthcare team.The nurse plans and implements patient and family education.The nurse is responsible for assessing the needs and initiating appropriate interventions for patients.Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree from an accredited School of Nursing, Associates degree, or Diploma.Montana Registered Nurse Licensure is required.American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications are required.Preferred qualifications include Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) certification, 1 year of circulating experience, and 1 year of scrub experience.Essential job functions include collecting comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health or situation.The nurse analyzes the assessment data to determine diagnoses or issues.Identifies expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient or situation.Develops a plan that prescribes strategies and alternatives to attain expected outcomes.Implements the identified plan of care.Employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment.Systematically enhances the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice.Attains knowledge and competency that reflects current nursing practice.Evaluates own nursing practice in relation to professional practice standards and guidelines.Interacts with and contributes to the professional development of peers and colleagues.Collaborates with patients, families, and others in the conduct of nursing practice.Integrates ethical provisions in all areas of practice.Integrates research findings into practice.Provides leadership in the professional practice setting and the profession.Knowledge, skills, and abilities include demonstrating sound judgment, patience, and maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.The ability to work in a busy and stressful environment is essential.Creativity, problem analysis, and decision-making skills are important.Exhibits tact, discretion, sensitivity, and maintains confidentiality.Self-directed, completing assignments accurately and thoroughly with minimal oversight.Strong emotional intelligence, interpersonal, and teamwork skills are necessary.Participation in cerebrovascular disease education is required within the first year of hire and annually thereafter.There is a need for flexibility to cover all shifts, including holiday coverage.The organization reserves the right to cancel shifts in the event of low census or other unforeseen circumstances.Candidates must meet specific distance requirements. #J-18808-Ljbffr
