Smile Mississippi , a school-based mobile dental practice, is seeking a Dental Assistant Team Lead in Southaven, MS and surrounding areas to help provide dental care to underserved children at their school. Our innovative in school dental program offers something different than a traditional dental practice. With a workday that ends with the school day and no nights or weekends, our program is perfect for people looking for a diverse and different working environment, working parents and anyone who wants to make a difference in the dental field. Dental Assistant Qualifications X-ray License Digital X-ray Imaging experience Coronal Polishing (preferred, not required) CPR certified Work experience as a Dental Assistant Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and willing to travel Works well with children Organized, detail-oriented and able to multi-task Team player and able to work on a small team Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Dental Assistant Responsibilities Dental Assisting Services during mobile dental clinics Digital X-ray Imaging Patient Records Charting Equipment Set-up, Breakdown, and Sterilization Assistance Travel Daily to and from school sites Team Lead Requirements/Responsibilities Responsible for driving company vehicle Must be willing to travel daily Ability to meet deadlines and arrive on-time each day Reliable, organized, punctual Computer skills – Microsoft office applications Great people skills - ability to communicate with Adults & Children Must have valid drivers license, clean driving record Order supplies, sterilizing instruments, spore testing Responsible for back office duties Keep van & equipment in good condition Smile Mississippi Offers Evenings, weekends and summers off! Working a school day schedule (about 6 – 7 hours); on average between 8:00 A.M. – 3:00 P.M.
